Joshua "Too Tuff" Tufte Wins NABA-USA and USBO Heavyweight Titles

Kernersville, North Carolina heavyweight Josh Tufte improved his undefeated record to 12-0 this past Saturday and captured two title belts with a 10-round split decision win over Daniel “The Mountain” Martz in a bout that took place near Martz’s hometown in West Virginia. Daniel Martz’s previously undefeated record dropped to 7-1-1.

The judges scored the fight 97-93 and 96-94 for Tufte and a third judge 96-94 for Martz. Tufte earned the close decision victory by effectively counter-punching his hard-hitting much taller opponent.

Boxrec.com currently shows Joshua Tufte as the 185th best heavyweight in the world out of 1,070 and 65th best in the nation out of 391 ranked fighters. Those rankings are expected to climb with his most recent win.
